Specialty Nurse – Special Care Baby Unit Permanant, part‑time role based at North Shore Hospital (0.9FTE, 72hours per fortnight). Opportunity to work collaboratively with our neonatal team to plan care, problem solve and help make a difference to women and babies from the Waitematā District. About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Specialty Nurse to join our team. The main function of this role is to provide extended nursing practice functions of neonatal resuscitation and advanced airway management in birthing, obstetric theatre areas, maternity and SCBU, or any site of a neonatal emergency. You will also undertake assessment of babies with complex needs, recommend and initiate treatment options in accordance with policy or clinical pathways, and in discussion with paediatricians. This is a senior nursing role, so you will provide clinical leadership, role‑model best practice, and take responsibility for the coordination of the unit. View the position description. Our SCBU team is dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
