About Us:

Tung distribution Limited is a Palmerston north based company; specializing in Road Freight Transport service.

We are currently seeking reliable Truck Drivers to join our palmerston north team.

The positions are full-time permanent positions with a minimum of 30 hrs per week from Monday to Sunday on roaster basis.

The pay rate will be $30-$35 per hour.

No experience required as Full training will be provided.

Your Job duties will include:

\n
• Deliver a wide variety of general freight to different addresses.
\n
• Different routes in various regions.
\n
• Must be able to work weekends.
\n
• Follow routes and time schedule.
\n
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
\n
• Maintain records of deliveries made.
\n
• Complete log books and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
\n
• Follow Health and Safety regulations and safety standards.
\n
• Handing Job Sheets in timely manner.
\n
• Maneuvering vehicles into position for loading and unloading.
\n
• Observing safety requirements when loading and unloading vehicles.
\n
• Making regular quality checks of vehicles to ensure they can be driven safely.
\n
• Estimating weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight.
\n
• Ensuring goods are stowed and securely covered to prevent loss and damage.
\n
• Reporting to the Manager/Director.
\n
• Ensure Road User Charges (RUC), Registration and COF of vehicle are up to date.
\n
• Must be physically fit for manual handling of deliveries.
\n
• Ensure the truck is loaded appropriately and the material is recorded correctly.
\n
• Ensure all loads comply with height, weight, and specification.
\n

The ideal candidate must:

• Must have Valid New Zealand or International Licence-Equivalent Class4/ 5 of New Zealand Truck Driving Licence.
\n
• Must Pass Drug Test.
\n
• Must not have any prior serious driving convictions.
\n
• Have good attention to detail.
\n
• Have a clear criminal record.
\n
