Description About The Mahi (Role) Our Dunedin clinic is expanding, and we’re looking for a motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at our brand-new clinic in North Dunedin! If you’re passionate about rehabilitation and want to make a real difference in people's lives, this role offers an exciting opportunity to grow, collaborate, and develop your career. As a Senior Occupational Therapist at TBI Health, you will play a key role in providing high-quality rehabilitation services to a diverse range of clients. You’ll work in an integrated, multidisciplinary team alongside physiotherapists, psychologists, and other allied health professionals, delivering services such as: Concussion rehabilitation Vocational rehabilitation Community and Social Rehabilitation Your Key Responsibilities Conduct workplace assessments to support return-to-work plans following injury or illness. Deliver patient education, training, treatment, and rehabilitation in various community and workplace settings. Liaise with external partners such as specialists, GPs, and employers to ensure smooth and effective rehabilitation. Participate in activities to help grow and develop TBI Health’s services in the Otago region. Mentor and supervise junior team members, helping to develop a strong, supportive team culture. This is a full-time role (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to manage your diary. You’ll be supported by our Clinic Manager and have the freedom to complete reporting and admin tasks from home. Our Dunedin team is a vibrant, social, and collaborative group consisting of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and administrative support staff. We work closely with GPs in our new clinic, offering an integrated model of care. We also have strong connections with Neuropsychologists, Neurologists, Social Workers, Dietitians, and Speech Language Therapists who join the team on a case‑by‑case basis. Experience working under ACC contracts, such as Concussion and Vocational Rehabilitation, would be a bonus. A genuine interest in rehabilitation and a strong commitment to clinical excellence. Excellent problem‑solving skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. Great organisational and communication skills. The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. A commitment to professional development and ongoing learning. A current full practising certificate for Occupational Therapy in New Zealand, Professional Body Membership, and Indemnity Insurance.
