Mō te tūranga | About the role As an Associate Product Owner in the Model Management squad, you’ll support the ongoing performance, governance and improvement of our home loan product models, calculators, fees and related processes. Working closely with the Senior Product Manager, Product Owners, technical teams and business stakeholders, you’ll help ensure our models are well understood, clearly documented and operating in line with customer, business and regulatory expectations. This role would suit someone with strong analytical thinking, good attention to detail and a practical understanding of product, process or delivery environments. You’ll be comfortable working through complexity, asking good questions, and helping create clear artefacts that support better decision‑making. Ngā mahi o ia rā | What you’ll be doing Support the Senior Product Manager and Product Owner with the delivery and ongoing management of model-related work across the home loan portfolio. Help maintain clear documentation, traceability and change records for home loan products, models, calculators and fees. Work with stakeholders to understand business problems, gather requirements and support solution design. Assist with product governance activities, including model reviews, performance monitoring and risk management. Support squad planning by helping refine backlog items, clarify scope and prepare work for delivery. Partner with technology, risk, compliance, operations and product teams to ensure changes are well understood and well managed. Help identify process improvements and opportunities to simplify how model-related work is delivered and governed. Contribute to a collaborative squad culture by bringing curiosity, care and a willingness to learn. Qualifications and Experience Experience in product, business analysis, delivery, lending, operations or a related financial services role. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with complex information. Good analytical and problem‑solving skills, with confidence working through ambiguity. Ability to document requirements, decisions and processes clearly. Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain information in a simple and practical way. A collaborative working style and confidence partnering with people across different teams. An interest in home lending, product governance, risk management, models or process improvement. A curious and pragmatic mindset, with a focus on doing what’s right for customers and the business.
