Senior BI Developer

These positions will strengthen how we deliver for our people and customers and ensure technology remains closely aligned with our business strategy. We’re seeking an experienced Senior BI Developer to help shape, build and support enterprise-wide business intelligence and reporting across PGG Wrightson. This is a foundational role: you’ll help build our modern data and analytics capability from strong foundations, with real influence over standards, architecture and the tools we adopt. About the role As a Senior BI Developer, you’ll lead the design and delivery of data warehouse and BI solutions. You’ll build the curated data and reporting layers that power self-service analytics and confident, everyday decision-making across the business. You’ll work closely with BI Analysts, business stakeholders, and technology teams to ensure BI frameworks, models, and delivery practices are scalable, optimised, and aligned to best practice. As a senior member of the team, you’ll also set technical standards, act as a design authority for complex problems, and mentor others to lift overall capability. Key responsibilities Lead the design, development, testing, and support of data warehouse and BI solutionBuild and maintain curated data and enterprise reporting assets that enable trusted self-service analytics Act as a technical design authority, providing architectural input across data warehouse, ETL and self-service models Set and champion best‑practice BI standards, code quality and continuous improvement Partner with analysts, SMEs, and technology teams to deliver business‑aligned solutions Mentor and coach BI Analysts and developers, lifting the capability of the team Contribute to data quality, testing, documentation, and ongoing operations About you You’re an experienced BI professional who thrives on solving complex data challenges and delivering trusted analytics. You bring both technical depth and the communication skills to make data genuinely useful for the people who rely on it. You’ll bring: Strong, hands‑on experience delivering data warehouse and BI solutions end to end Proven skills across the Microsoft BI stack (Azure, SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS) Confidence working with complex, large scale data Experience setting technical standards and mentoring or guiding other developers Excellent communication skills and a proactive, collaborative, quality‑driven approach Ideally, you’ll also have: WhereScape RED experience Power BI experience Exposure to modern data platforms (e.g. Snowflake or similar) Experience in enterprise‑level BI environments Why work for us This is a rare chance to help shape enterprise BI from the ground up, at a genuine turning point in our technology transformation.
