Role Title: Experienced Asphalt Crew Location: Central Otago Contract Type: Permanent Full Time About the role This is a hands‑on, site‑based role working across a variety of asphalt paving projects throughout Central Otago. You'll be part of a close‑knit paving crew operating specialised plant and assisting with the delivery of high‑quality asphalt works. Working in a practical outdoor environment, you'll play an important role in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard. Key responsibilities Operate asphalt pavers, rollers, skid steer loaders and other paving equipment. Perform pre‑start inspections and assist with the cleaning and maintenance of plant and equipment. Support asphalt paving operations to achieve the required quality, finish and production targets. Follow site‑specific health, safety and environmental requirements at all times. Participate in daily pre‑start meetings and identify hazards and risks on site. Assist with general labouring and crew activities as required. Qualifications Proven experience operating asphalt paving equipment within a civil construction environment. Experience working around asphalt paving crews and delivering quality paving outcomes. Class 2 Driver Licence with WTR endorsements. Class 4 Driver Licence preferred. Strong understanding of safe work practices and commitment to health and safety. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment. Willingness to undertake labouring duties when required.
