The team you’ll join: Our market leading Business Advisory Services team is looking for aConsultantor Senior Consultant to join our close-knit practice in Rotorua. You will work within theaccountingteam to develop a trusted advisor relationship through your personalised approach to dealing with the unique challenges facing New Zealand businesses today. OurRotorua Office also provides specialised services to our Māori clients and others wishing to align their work with Māori businesses. The team works with the vision of using our knowledge and relationships to help Māori wishing to grow theirpūtea, wealth,assetsand businesses for the benefit of their whānau, hapū and iwi. The impact you’ll make: As an Accountant/Consultant you willbringyourstrong work ethic, accountingskillsand desire to work in a more advisory capacity toassistour clients with their wide variety of needs. Your typical day will include: Providing advice on a range of advisory and tax issues to clients, including in the context of transaction work, business operations and strategy, and tax work. Building relationships with key client contacts. Assistingin the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns / GST returns, as well asassistingclients in managing their tax obligations throughout the year. Assistingin the preparation of management accounts, forecasts,budgetsand various other metricsrequiredfor clientson a monthly basis. Adopting different methods to collect and analyse data from various sources with the purpose of deriving insights for our clients. Supporting the team by drafting and preparing a range of client deliverables under the guidance of the leadership team. Being present in the market and creating opportunities to build relationships across a broad range of stakeholders. Being part of the culture, becoming a role model for our people and clients, as well as recognising others for the impact they make by their valued contributions. Your expertise: Bring your strong technical accounting capability, and see what impact you can make. You’ll also have: 2 years’ + of experience relevant to the role CA qualified, or in final stages Experience in preparation of financial statements through to completion, management accounting,GSTand annual tax returns Proven ability to work in a business advisory capacity Good understanding of accounting and tax issues Strong relationship building and communications skill are paramount to your success Strong technology skills in Xero, including knowledge of operating and/or implementing addons Making an impact that matters, together: We are driven by our desire to create positive outcomes for our clients, communities, and people.
