With over 35 years of innovation and excellence, we proudly supply premium produce to a growing global market. We're now looking for a Quality Controller to join our dynamic team in Ōpōtiki. What You’ll be Doing As a Quality Controller, you’ll assist the Regional Quality/Assistant Manager in sampling and checking products to ensure they meet customer Quality Manual specifications. You will maintain good practices, ensure compliance with Seeka’s DQS systems and processes, and provide assurance that our export standards are consistently met. This role requires flexibility to work varied hours, including Saturdays and Sundays, to support operational needs. Key Responsibilities Understand and uphold Health and Safety requirements. Maintain and comply with Food Safety, BRC, MPI, MAF, and NZA standards and audit protocols. Gain proficiency in critical control points (CCPs) processes. Assist in sampling packed products and identifying those not meeting customer specifications. Record and enter data accurately into electronic systems. Ensure consistent record keeping and filing following company and customer Quality Manual procedures. Maximise fruit quality at site level and minimise losses due to poor grading or repacking, supporting reject analysis. Support the department in resolving checking and processing issues, including on‑call availability after hours and weekends. Perform other duties as reasonably required. Technical Knowledge & Experience Required Previous experience with software and technology systems relevant to quality control. Qualification under customer guidelines and familiarity with Seeka’s quality standards (Seeka DQS). Awareness and practical experience with Health & Safety legislative requirements. Experience working within horticulture or the primary industry. Personal Attributes Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels, from managers to growers.
