Overview Enterprise Recruitment is working alongside leaders in the building service industry in New Zealand. Due to the continual growth in this market, our client - a New Zealand owned and operated building service maintenance provider - is looking for 4 Metal Fabricators to join their growing team. Successful candidates must be willing to travel between Wellington, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu-Whanganui, Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Auckland depending on the client's needs. Accommodation and relocation costs will be covered by the client for the first two weeks of assignment. What you will be offered Permanent employment in line with NZ employment law, with a competitive remuneration package to match your experience ($30-$35 per hour) 30-hour work week guaranteed. Monday to Friday 8am-5pm. Work for a recognised and successful kiwi company Qualifications and experience To be successful for this role, you need to have the following skills and 2 years’ verifiable work experience: Cutting and machining of aluminium as required Assembly of aluminium windows and doors to specifications Undertake quality assurance checks of manufactured windows and doors and ensure any defects are identified and dealt with as required Responsibilities Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding If you think you have the skills, experience and work ethic we are looking for, please click the APPLY button and send your CV.
