Loss Prevention Officer (Security) - The Warehouse, Hawera (Part-time)

Job Description We're seeking a vigilant and proactive Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. Your main focus will be preventing theft and ensuring the safety of our staff and customers. Hours Of Work Sun, Mon 8:00am-4:30pm Tues 8:00am-2:30pm Wed 1:30-8:00pm Key Responsibilities Monitor security cameras Maintain a visible presence on the shop‑floor Interact with customers and address their concerns Upload events onto our crime reporting platform. Expiry Checks throughout our grocery department All other duties requested of you Qualifications He kōrero mōu ake - About you Experience in a customer‑facing role, such as retail or hospitality, would be beneficial but is not required. Some previous security experience is a requirement of this role. Ideally, you will have good communication skills, computer skills and the ability to input data with ease and a positive attitude, along with a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods. Additionally, experience in conflict resolution and de‑escalation, along with the ability to stay calm under pressure, would be beneficial.
