Gardener

Gardener / Landscaper As our Gardener, you will play an important role in maintaining the beautiful grounds and gardens that our residents enjoy every day. Your responsibilities will include: Mowing lawns, edging, pruning, weeding and general garden maintenance Planting, cultivating and caring for a variety of flowers, shrubs and trees Hedge trimming and shaping Annual house washing Keeping the village grounds clean, tidy and well presented Identifying and addressing gardening or landscaping issues promptly Following all health and safety policies and procedures Building positive relationships with our residents and providing friendly customer service We're seeking someone who: Has previous gardening, landscaping or grounds maintenance experience (retirement village experience is an advantage but not essential) Has a good understanding of horticulture and plant care Takes pride in producing high-quality work and has a great eye for detail Is physically fit and capable of carrying out repetitive manual tasks, including lifting, bending, pushing and working on their feet for extended periods Is reliable, punctual and self-motivated Works well independently and as part of a team Enjoys interacting with people and contributing to a positive community environment Holds a current full New Zealand driver's licence What We Offer Supportive team that values hard work and takes pride in creating a beautiful environment for our residents.
