The Role We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Livestock Coordinator to join our Livestock team based in Pukeuri, Oamaru. This is a critical role responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimising livestock flows into our processing operations. Working closely with Livestock Representatives, plant teams, transport providers, and planners, you will ensure livestock supply aligns with processing requirements, transport capacity is utilised effectively, and operational targets are achieved. Key Responsibilities Include Coordinating livestock bookings, scheduling, and allocations. Managing livestock movements and arrival schedules. Monitoring plant capacity and supporting optimal utilisation. Forecasting livestock availability and supply requirements. Providing accurate and timely communication to operational stakeholders. Identifying and resolving scheduling and logistics issues. Supporting the ongoing improvement of livestock coordination processes. Building productive relationships across the business and industry partners. About You You will ideally have: Strong planning, scheduling, and organisational skills. Experience working in a logistics, scheduling, planning, or operational support role. Experience coordinating activities in a fast‑paced operational environment. Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy. Strong communication and relationship‑building skills. Proven problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to prioritise competing demands. Confidence working with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. It Would Be Advantageous If You Also Have Experience with logistics, transport, scheduling, ERP, or planning systems. Knowledge of livestock production, farming operations, or the rural sector. Understanding of transport operations and rural logistics. Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, Agriculture, Business, or a related discipline.
