About this role An exciting opportunity for a Student Advisor has become available in our Rainbow Student Support Service. This is a full‑time (37.5 hours per week), fixed‑term position for a period of 12 months. Responsibilities This role supports student success by providing wellbeing and mental health support to Rainbow students. It includes: 1:1 support, group facilitation, and community‑building initiatives to foster belonging. Supporting students with complex needs and navigating intersections of identity and wellbeing. Providing compassionate, professional judgment and creating safe, respectful spaces for students to succeed. Qualifications Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., social work, youth development, health sciences). Experience and confidence working with Rainbow communities. Experience in tertiary education, community support or wellbeing support. Passion for supporting student success. Ability to deliver high‑quality, professional service with a culture of customer care. Understanding of advisory support delivered via a case‑management model.
