Senior Finance Analyst, Team Lead

Responsibilities Lead a team of financial analysts delivering high-quality financial analysis, reporting, data insights, and decision support to operational and clinical services across Health New Zealand. Partner closely with Finance Business Partners, Operations Managers, and senior leaders to drive meaningful financial and operational insights that support effective decision-making, improved performance, and strategic outcomes. Support budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and financial analytics activities, ensuring timely delivery of accurate, relevant, and actionable information. Identify financial risks, opportunities, and emerging trends while helping stakeholders better understand financial and operational drivers influencing performance. Assist the Manager in leading and developing a high-performing team of analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and promoting best practice financial analysis and reporting. Enhance organisational reporting capabilities, leveraging data and business intelligence tools, including Qlik, to deliver innovative reporting solutions and visualisations. Work closely with stakeholders across finance, operational, and clinical services to drive improvements in reporting, data quality, and analytical capability across the organisation. Qualifications and Experience Relevant tertiary qualification and Chartered Accountant (CA) status or equivalent professional accounting qualification. At least five years' experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or finance business partnering within a complex organisation. Experience with payroll reporting, data analysis, and exposure to business intelligence and data visualisation tools such as Qlik is advantageous. Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-making and build effective relationships across all organisational levels.
