Technical Sales Engineer

Join one of New Zealand's leading composite manufacturers and help deliver carbon fibre solutions used across marine, aerospace, defence and high-performance applications. As the Technical Sales Engineer , you'll work alongside customers, engineers and production teams to take projects from initial concept through to design, manufacture and delivery. This is a hands‑on role where technical knowledge, relationship management and problem‑solving combine to create world class composite solutions. C-Tech has built a global reputation for designing and manufacturing carbon fibre components for high-performance applications and advanced technologies. Examples of our work can be found across the America's Cup, Sail GP and Aerospace. You will be applying your technical knowledge and strong relationship building skills to a Kiwi success story approaching 30 years in business. This is a full-time role, based in our office and factory site in Rosebank Road, Avondale, Auckland. You will work within an office team of 20 and a greater team of 65. The core of the role is working with clients to come up with composite solutions to fit their needs. You will be managing their projects from the design through to manufacturing and delivery. Projects will include tubular and moulded composite manufactured components. Our sales engineers are not desk bound. You will be collaborating with our Design Engineers and the team on the factory floor ensuring full care throughout the process for your clients. What you will do: Own the administrative side of this role with timely and professional response to enquiries. Manage projects from the initial customer enquiry through to concept development, design and quotation. Work closely with the engineering team. Accurately prepare quotes and sales documentation. Input and maintain lead, customer and order data into the CRM. Provide accurate specifications for our manufacturing team. Be the key link between our customers and the production team. Active involvement throughout the manufacturing process. C-Tech values team involvement on the floor. Drive to deliver C-Tech's high-quality standards and our desire for continuous improvement. Effective ongoing communication with our clients and the factory team regarding deadlines. Who we are looking for: Engineering or related qualification. A keen interest in marine, aerospace or industrial industries. Experience working with composite materials plus an understanding of their structural design. Commercial experience with strong interpersonal and communication skills in your nature. Strong written and verbal skills. Energetic drive to achieve growth in overall company sales.
