Accounts Officer - Fixed Term

We are on the lookout for a self‑motivated, positive, and energetic Accounts Officer for a fixed term while we get some new systems initiated and operational. This position is based in Palmerston North and you will work alongside our four other branches situated in Feilding, Levin, Whanganui, and Masterton. About The Role We need a fixed‑term Accounts Officer who is super‑organised, communicates positively with stakeholders, and remains calm and collected when busy times hit. Working within our Business Support Team (8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday), the key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Accounts Receivable Setting up new customer accounts, including performing credit and referee checks. Accounts Payable Processing accounts payable invoices, data entry and coding. Maintaining electronic filing of supplier invoices. Ensuring all invoicing for month end is completed. Attending to creditor queries. Reconciling creditor statements.li> Organising invoices for electronic payment on the 20th of the month. Providing support and cover for the other Business Support team members. What We Require Accurate data entry skills with the ability to handle a high volume of transactions. Well‑developed written and spoken communication skills. Excellent time‑management and organisational skills. Experience in this line of work is important; great training on our systems will be provided.
