Job Summary We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join our dedicated Ward team. This full‑time (1 FTE) permanent role works on a rotating roster Monday to Sunday, covering morning, afternoon and night shifts. Responsibilities Assist patients with personal care, mobility and everyday needs Support patients through transfers, meal services and maintain a clean, welcoming ward environment Provide clinical support across a range of activities in a busy ward setting Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure exceptional patient care and support Qualifications New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3) desirable Minimum one year experience as a Healthcare Assistant or similar role within a surgical ward Genuine passion for supporting patients and contributing to positive outcomes Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a busy ward Proactive, team‑oriented approach with confidence to take initiative Completion of NCEA Level 2 / Sixth Form Certificate (or equivalent) desirable Previous surgical ward experience advantageous Flexibility to work a rotating roster including AM, afternoon and night shifts Benefits Attractive remuneration package, relocation allowance and employee referral bonus scheme Funded health insurance, comprehensive wellbeing programme and generous Christmas/New Year breaks Discounts from partners and opportunity to join employee network #J-18808-Ljbffr
