Senior Risk Advisor

Responsibilities As a Senior Risk Advisor you will bring a strong risk lens to strategic initiatives, operational activities and major programmes across the Money Group. Working closely with leaders, project teams, and the Risk, Compliance and Audit Directorate, you will help strengthen risk management practices, support effective governance, and ensure risks are understood and managed in a way that enables delivery and innovation. This includes leading risk reviews, developing reporting for senior stakeholders, providing trusted advice on risk and controls, and fostering a risk‑aware culture across the group. Qualifications Demonstrated technical expertise in risk management developed through at least 7 years of second line risk experience (or equivalent). Well‑developed analytical capability to distil key themes and perspectives for a range of audiences. Strong understanding of risk management principles and the ability to take best practice and develop fit‑for‑purpose organisational frameworks. Ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Excellent communication skills to influence effectively and build credibility. Sound judgement and the ability to think holistically across a broad range of issues. Demonstrates knowledge and application of TeTiritioWaitangi.
