Overview Fixed Term / Secondment opportunity to May 2027 for a SWRB registered Social Worker. The role will be based at the Orewa Site, Tāmaki Makaurau. Regular supervision and training opportunities. Responsibilities In this fast‑paced role you will work with other social services, agencies and providers to ensure the needs of the child or young person and their family are fully met, supporting children and young people to be safe, strong and thrive. Qualifications Registration with the Social Work Registration Board (SWRB) and a current Annual Practicing Certificate A social worker qualification recognised by the SWRB A full, clean, current New Zealand driver’s licence Excellent written and oral communication skills Demonstrated resilience, problem‑solving techniques and flexibility Excellent time management and organisational skills Strong PC and Microsoft Office Suite skills with excellent report writing skills Understanding and appreciation of cross‑cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori and Pacific peoples’ culture Benefits Oranga Tamariki offers an impartial remuneration package ranging from $81,206 to $97,557 depending on experience.
