What you’ll do | Hei mahi Assist the Category Manager in executing category plans that are better for customers, simpler for stores, and deliver against financial and non‑financial targets. The primary role of an ACM is to run an effective promotional program that delivers against sales, profit and market share targets. Optimise the promotional program through the frequency, depth, funding and phasing of promotions while ensuring we provide market‑leading value for customers. Utilise data and insights to ensure our promotional offers are customer‑led and deliver a ROI. Leverage sales‑driving tactics for key customer offers (brochure, sales planning, event space, etc.). Negotiate with suppliers on promotional investment and executions, aligning to KPIs. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders (Category Manager & Assistant, Marketing, Online, Replenishment, Promotions, etc.) to implement promotional activity effectively. What you’ll bring | Hei mahi Previous Assistant Category Manager experience preferred. Negotiation and influencing skills. Willingness to learn, a curious mind and experience in collaborating with cross‑functional teams to adapt to changing conditions. Excellent organisation and time‑management skills. Strong commercial acumen. Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills. Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills. High level of computer literacy, with proficiency in Excel and Google Apps.
