The Opportunity We are looking for a Project Delivery Specialist – Biosecurity Programmes to join our Environmental Implementation team on a fixed term (36 months), full time (37.5 hours per week) basis, in our busy Queenstown or Alexandra office. The purpose of this position is to provide environmental impact through the local implementation and delivery of national biosecurity programmes work. The intention for this role is to focus on delivery of the Wilding Conifer programme in Otago. Responsibilities Leading the development and implementation of programmes, projects and initiatives that protect Otago’s environment through the effective management of pests Designing and developing projects, plans, objectives, scope, timelines, costs, risks and administrative and resource requirements Establishing effective relationships with iwi partners and actively seek to incorporate runaka priorities and values Engaging and managing contractors and consultants to ensure efficient and high‑quality work is undertaken on behalf of ORC About You A tertiary level Project Management Qualification (or equivalent level of experience) A minimum of seven years’ experience in planning and delivering successful programmes and projects with an environmental focus and within a complex setting At least 5 years’ experience directly managing external contractors At least 5 years’ experience managing external funders Proven experience in stakeholder and relationship management, and ability to influence and negotiate at all levels Highly developed written and communication skills We recognise and celebrate diversity within Team ORC and are committed to providing a work environment that supports inclusion and equal opportunities.
