About the Role We’re looking for a Seasonal Department Leader to join our team at Mitre 10 MEGA Marlborough. You’ll take ownership of the department’s day‑to‑day performance, ensuring an exceptional customer experience while driving sales and maintaining high standards of stock presentation and merchandising. You are sales oriented and lead from the front, and create a positive, solutions‑focused culture where your team understands what great looks like every day. What You’ll Bring We welcome leaders from across the retail spectrum—DIY, FMCG, grocery, specialty, or other high‑volume environments. Experience with seasonal categories such as heating and cooling, fires, BBQs and outdoor furniture or experience working across multiple departments would be an advantage. Proven working experience in a busy retail or customer‑facing environment A strong positive and growth mindset Strong operational discipline with hands‑on approach and confidence in stock flow, merchandising, and presentation standards Strong DIY skills and the physical fitness to assemble display models quickly A customer‑first approach, resolving queries calmly and professionally Confident on‑floor decision‑making to keep trading smooth and sales targets on track Strong product knowledge or the willingness to learn quickly Excellent teamwork and communication skills What’s Next?
