Job Type: 12 month Maximum Term Part-Time working 22.8 hours per week

Salary: $107,16.35 to $112,014.99 pro rata per annum, based on skills and experience plus 12% superannuation.

About the role

The role of the Social Cohesion & Belonging Lead Facilitator is to deliver high quality culturally responsive and socially inclusive training sessions (face to face and virtual) to teams and groups, inclusive of individual consultation and coaching and contribute to the strategic objectives of the consultancy. The role balances both the relational and strategic dimensions of the work - building safe, engaging learning experiences while contributing to the consultancy's growth, design and direction.

• Research, develop and deliver training content and presentations in collaboration with team members, incorporating learning outcomes, resources, current research, casework trends and participant feedback, while applying adult learning principles.
• Apply learning design principles to develop, structure and sequence training content and learner materials across a range of inclusion topics, ensuring sessions are engaging, accessible and outcomes focused
• Undertake consultancy projects and lead defined project tasks as requested, supporting effective delivery and coordination
• Develop project plans and monitor key milestones for projects or resource development
• Facilitate, collaborate and plan training sessions with co-facilitators and program managers

What we are looking for

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a passion for supporting the mission of BSL and delivering excellence in your role.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent relevant experience
• A qualification in a relevant field, education, teaching, social work, youth work, community development, psychology or a related discipline, or equivalent professional and/or lived experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the impacts of colonialisation, racialisation, systems of domination and social exclusion. Practiced and/or experiential understanding of the impacts of forced migrations on people and settlement challenges.
• Knowledge of social cohesion, belonging and inclusion - the drivers of connection and exclusion across diverse communities and workplaces, and approaches to strengthening belonging.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and learning design - structuring and sequencing training content for engagement, accessibility and learning outcomes.
• Understanding of trauma-informed and psychologically safe facilitation practice, supporting participants into courageous, reflective learning spaces.
• Understanding of cultural responsiveness and empathy, in line with the values and ideals of the Brotherhood.
