We are looking for a Manager Engineering Planning & Support to lead the planning function across our Engineering team.

\n

This role is responsible for ensuring effective workforce planning, labour forecasting, maintenance planning, and inventory management to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations across the Port. You will lead a small team, including Maintenance Planners and the Stores function, while providing strategic direction on current and future planning capability.

\n

Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and key stakeholders, you will play a critical role in aligning planning, people, inventory, and operational requirements to support both day‑to‑day performance and long‑term business needs.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Lead and oversee the Engineering planning function, ensuring maintenance and resource planning activities are effective, coordinated, and aligned to operational needs.
  • \n
  • Manage, coach, and support the Maintenance Planners and Stores team, providing clear direction and leadership.
  • \n
  • Oversee the Stores function, including inventory management activities and alignment of stock levels to business requirements.
  • \n
  • Develop long‑term workforce forecasts and labour demand plans to support future operational and maintenance needs.
  • \n
  • Drive continuous improvement across planning processes, cost control, inventory management, and operational efficiency.
  • \n
  • Assess current planning capability and identify future requirements to support a more strategic and proactive planning function.
  • \n
  • Build strong working relationships across Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement, contractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
