Fixed Term, Full Time (12 months), starting March 2027.
About the Role\nWe are seeking a passionate and motivated Cardiology Fellow with a strong interest in Cardiac Electrophysiology to join our renowned Cardiology Department at Christchurch Hospital. This fellowship provides an exceptional opportunity to develop advanced knowledge and practical skills in the diagnosis and management of cardiac arrhythmias within a busy tertiary referral centre. Working alongside highly experienced Electrophysiologists, you will gain extensive exposure to contemporary electrophysiology practice while contributing to the delivery of high‑quality patient care.
\nYour fellowship will include participation in:
\n- \n
- Electrophysiology studies \n
- Complex catheter ablation procedures \n
- Pacemaker and implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) implantation \n
- Cardiac device follow‑up and management \n
- Multidisciplinary clinical meetings and teaching \n
- Outpatient clinics and inpatient consultative services \n

About You\nTo be successful in this role you will have:

- A medical qualification recognised for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ), or eligibility to obtain registration. \n
- Completed advanced physician training in Cardiology (or equivalent). \n
- A demonstrated interest in Cardiac Electrophysiology and a strong commitment to pursuing subspecialty training. \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. \n
- A commitment to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care. \n
