Sampling Specialist

Overview The purpose of the Sampling Specialist role is to complete laboratory sampling activities in a timely and compliant manner, supporting product release, quality assurance, technical requests, and customer and sales requirements. Responsibilities Collect and prepare samples according to approved procedures. Complete sampling and testing on time to support product release. Coordinate sampling requests with internal teams. Ensure samples are correctly labelled, documented, and traceable. Dispatch samples to laboratories on time and in the correct condition. Identify and elevate sampling issues and support quality investigations. Maintain sampling areas, equipment, and support continuous improvement. Attend regular departmental meetings with relevant manager/supervisor. Meet ISO requirements and comply with Quality policies and procedures. Comply with Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies. Maintain and wear PPE as required. Report any accidents or incidents within 24 hours. Ensure activities are performed in accordance with legislative requirements, employment policies, Health & Safety requirements, and global policies. Promote excellence in quality and customer focus. Uphold the Code of Business Conduct and demonstrate company values. Maintain current knowledge of SOPs and policies and ensure compliance at all times. Essential Requirements Timely completion of timesheet via allocated system. Completion of all assigned training by scheduled due date. Current and valid driver’s license with flexibility to travel to other sites occasionally. Qualifications and Experience Experience working in a laboratory environment, including sample registration processes and use of laboratory systems. Knowledge of food or dairy industry standards and relevant quality systems. Experience in the dairy or food industry, preferably with sampling experience. Qualification in science (e.g., Microbiology or Chemistry). Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
