Job Description
Senior Financial Accountant (12‑month fixed‑term contract) We are seeking a highly motivated and technically strong Senior Financial Accountant to join our New Zealand finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, supporting compliance obligations, and driving continuous improvement across finance processes and our ERP environment. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will help ensure the integrity of financial information and provide insights that support sound business decision‑making. Responsibilities Lead the preparation of statutory and management reporting, forecasts, cash flow analysis, and financial performance commentary. Oversee key control activities including balance sheet reviews, intercompany accounting, expense management, and group reporting requirements. Manage indirect tax compliance, transfer pricing documentation, and ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory obligations. Support year‑end reporting and external audits, maintain the integrity of finance systems, and enhance reporting, automation, and financial controls. Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, embed consistent accounting practices, improve processes and documentation, and drive best practice across systems, reconciliations, and reporting. Qualifications CA qualified or near completion. Solid accounting and compliance background, preferably with audit experience or financial operations experience in a large, multinational environment. Strong analytical skills and the ability to produce meaningful analysis from quality data. Self‑motivated, confident in questioning and sharing ideas, and able to view opportunities through a continuous improvement lens.
