Location: Emergency Department - Hutt Hospital Contract: Permanent - Part Time (0.5 FTE), Rostered and Rotating Salary Band: $67,943 - $77,141 (pro-rata) depending on experience About the Role As Front of Whare, you will provide essential administrative support and reception services in a fast‑paced, 24/7 environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth operations within the Emergency Department and delivering a welcoming and efficient experience for patients, whānau, and the wider community. Key Responsibilities Deliver high‑quality front‑of‑house reception services Greet and assist patients and whānau with empathy and professionalism Manage patient data, documentation, and administrative systems accurately Provide timely administrative support to clinical teams Maintain clear communication with staff and departments within the hospital Work across a rotating roster, including afternoon, overnight, and weekend shifts About the Team/Service Location The Emergency Department at Hutt Hospital is a Level 4 emergency care service, seeing around 80,000 patients each year and is particularly busy during winter months. Team members provide patient‑focused care and support every person who walks through the doors feels safe and respected.
