Job Description

Marlborough is a region people choose to live in, not just pass through. Picture shorter commutes, more sunshine, and weekends spent on the water, in the hills, or exploring vineyards instead of sitting in traffic. You’ve got Blenheim’s cafes and schools close at hand, wineries and breweries on your doorstep, and easy access to the Sounds and mountain bike trails when you want to switch off. If you’re looking for a trade career that still lets you enjoy your life outside work, Marlborough makes it easy to find that balance. Aotea Electric Marlborough is looking for an experienced, quality‑focused HVAC Technician to join our locally owned team, delivering heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning solutions across the Marlborough region. Who We Are Aotea Electric Marlborough is a trusted local trade services business and part of the wider Aotea Group, supporting homeowners, businesses and industry clients in Blenheim and across Marlborough. We provide a full range of electrical and mechanical services, including HVAC installation, maintenance and servicing for residential, commercial and light industrial sites. The Role As an HVAC Technician with Aotea Electric Marlborough, you’ll work across a mix of projects – from homes and offices to wineries, hospitality and industrial facilities – installing, commissioning and servicing heat pumps, ventilation systems and air‑conditioning plant. You’ll diagnose faults, complete scheduled maintenance, and ensure systems operate efficiently, safely and in line with manufacturer specifications and relevant New Zealand standards. What You'll Bring Trade qualification in refrigeration/air‑conditioning or HVAC, or equivalent experience. Proven experience installing and servicing split systems, ducted systems and commercial plant. Strong focus on safety, workmanship quality and tidy, professional site behaviour. Good communication skills, with the ability to deal directly with clients and work within a team. A full driver’s licence and eligibility to work in New Zealand. What We Offer You’ll join a respected, growing local company that combines national backing with the Marlborough lifestyle. We offer competitive pay, a supportive team culture, variety of technical work, and genuine opportunities for training and career progression within Aotea Electric Marlborough and the wider Aotea Group. #J-18808-Ljbffr
