Job Description

About the role As Application Support Engineer, you'll be the go-to for Level 2 and 3 application support, triaging incidents and service requests for business teams across Greater Wellington. Working between the Service Desk, ICT delivery teams and vendors, you'll ensure that incoming incidents and service requests are directed to the right resolver groups and fixed quickly, to keep our systems reliable and available. You will also work closely with our Service Delivery Manager to make service level achievement visible and propose improvements to how support gets done through automation, documentation and training. Skills and experience required Several years' experience supporting business users on large, multi-user applications Solid grasp of application configuration, networks, security, databases and cloud Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a genuine customer focus Confident working in an agile team and picking up new systems fast Experience in AI tools and AI agents including awareness of AI risks and benefits Experience automating support and maintenance tasks is a plus Clear communicator who can translate technical detail for any audience Capability in te ao Māori, or a willingness to build it What we offer Work to suit your life and whānau with our flexible working policy. Great working environments across our beautiful region. The remuneration for this position, inclusive of all benefits, is $79,280 to $118,920 with a midpoint of $99,100. Starting remuneration will depend on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
