We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Coordinator (Building/Construction) to join our Infrastructure Services Team, reporting to the Infrastructure Maintenance Manager. This is a key role responsible for coordinating our infrastructure maintenance programme, supporting trade delivery, and contributing to the ongoing development of our assets across the Port. About the Role Reporting to the Infrastructure Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Coordinator is a member of the Infrastructure Services Team, which is responsible for delivering the Port's infrastructure development and maintenance programmes across both marine and landside assets, as well as providing oversight of property maintenance services. This role exists to assist with the oversight of the day-to-day trades work programme, including hands-on trade activities and the supervision of external contractors. It is a practical, coordinating role that plays a key part in ensuring maintenance activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Supervise the delivery and performance of the trade works programme Coordinate contractor activities, work scoping, and delivery outcomes Monitor and support health and safety performance across maintenance works Supervise the delivery of trades-related projects Develop and maintain strong relationships with external contractors Support the Port's commitment to a Zero Harm safety culture Provide support and operational cover across the wider Trades Team What We’re Looking For Minimum five years' experience in a relevant trade discipline Experience within the building and construction industry Practical exposure to carpentry, plumbing, concrete, welding, or similar trades Strong contractor supervision and coordination skills Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Experience or qualifications in heavy lifting operations, forklift operation, EWPs, working at heights, or similar activities would be highly regarded This opportunity would suit an established tradesperson looking to take the next step into a coordination and contractor management role while remaining closely connected to practical trade delivery.
