About the Role As a Registered Nurse in the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU), you will provide compassionate, family‑centred care to infants requiring specialised neonatal support. Working alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for babies and their whānau. About the Team / Service / Location Our Special Care Baby Unit is part of the wider Paediatric Service at Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital. Qualifications Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with babies, whānau and multidisciplinary teams. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced clinical environment with strong organisational and time‑management skills. IV certification / designation and a commitment to delivering safe, evidence‑based care. Neonatal nursing experience is preferred, along with a commitment to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.
