Job Description Associate Director, Workday HCM – Wellington or Auckland. Responsible for leading and delivering functional elements and engagements of Workday HCM across various industry sectors. The impact you’ll make: Deloitte’s HR Strategy and Technology (HRS&T) team are seeking an experienced Workday HCM Associate Director, specialising in two or more modules of Core HCM, Recruitment, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Talent & Performance, Security or Learning. Responsibilities: Provide architectural guidance of Workday HCM functional and technical capabilities to support client outcomes. Scoping client needs, conducting workshops to gather AS-IS, TO-BE and gap fit analysis, and lead parts of the business process re‑engineering requirements. Gather business requirements and discuss business outcomes with various clients and stakeholder groups. Use subject matter expertise in Workday HCM to lead and contribute to design, configuration of the system and work with development teams to create technical documentation. Test solutions and perform fit‑for‑purpose analysis on proposed solutions. Assist Application Support team to resolve upcoming and escalated service tickets post go‑live and enhancement requirements. Develop relationships and contribute to sharing ideas, knowledge and development of colleagues and wider community. Recommend proposals to revise methods and procedures and redefine job functions. Maintain consistent and ongoing interaction with client subject matter experts. Practice Development: Offer strong and compelling point of view around functional, integration approaches and design. Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery and innovation. Actively involved in supporting and growing the Workday practice. Business Development: Play an active role in pre‑sales and bid development. Identify on‑sell opportunities through existing client engagements. Actively contribute to business growth by delivering sales opportunities. Qualifications Ideally you will have the following: Proven background implementing Workday HCM solutions across diverse clients/industries, 6+ years experience, including solution architecture, across more than two end‑to‑end implementations. Certification and experience in at least two of the following Workday HCM modules – Core HCM, Recruitment, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Talent & Performance, Security or Learning. Subject matter expert on all HCM business processes, best practice and understanding of legislation (ideally NZ). Business Analysis skills with an eye for detail to complete specifications, documentation, standardisation and operational efficiency. Open communication style encouraging change management initiatives, fostering inclusion and gaining trust with stakeholders across all levels. Ability to work in cross‑functional on‑shore and offshore teams to deliver a single vision focused on client satisfaction. Proven experience in business development, leveraging existing relationships, building new ones and responding to RFPs. Benefits Flexible work arrangements.
