Farm Assistant - Casual

Opportunity Competitive hourly rate. Great location – within 15 minutes of Levin, Foxton, or Shannon. This drive‑in/drive‑out role offers casual work that can fit around the rest of your life. As a Casual Farm Assistant at Pāmu Moutoa you will support the team when extra help is needed, such as during busier periods or when staff are away. The work is varied, practical and hands‑on, with tasks that may include milking, calf‑rearing, fencing, weed control, and other general farm duties. You will work alongside an experienced team that will teach you how things are done, helping you build confidence and skills in a supportive environment. Responsibilities Assist with milking and calf care as directed. Take part in fencing, weed control and other routine farm tasks. Follow clear health and safety practices and support a safe working environment. Arrive ready to work by providing reliable transport to and from the farm. Qualifications Some dairy farm experience or a genuine interest in learning. Care for animals and a commitment to safety. Positive, reliable, and willing to help where needed. Good attention to detail and confidence to ask questions when unsure. Restricted or full driver’s licence.
