Psychology Intern Coordinator

Location: Porirua - Learning & Development Team MHAIDS Role Overview The Psychology Intern Coordinator will lead the psychology intern programme across the Mental Health, Addiction and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS). This dynamic and varied role requires you to work closely with stakeholders throughout the sub‑region to ensure the successful running of the programme. You will work alongside the wider team to select, place and support the interns who are employed as part of the programme, and you will provide supervision to intern participants. Responsibilities Lead the psychology intern programme across MHAIDS Work closely with stakeholders throughout the sub‑region to ensure successful running of the programme Select, place and support the interns who are employed as part of the programme Provide regular supervision to interns Work alongside the wider team to coordinate learning and development activities for the mental health and addiction workforce Qualifications An experienced clinical psychologist with at least 5 years of experience Current APC holder Hold a full clean driver’s licence Proven supervision skills to provide supervision to interns Committed to excellence in mental health practice and the development of others Excellent communicator capable of forging strong relationships with stakeholders About the Team/Service/Location MHAIDS is committed to continuous learning and development for all staff.
