Lecturer

Seeking lecturer with qualification and experience with online and blended learning, student engagement, curriculum and assessment design and the teaching of applied psychology to working professionals. We’re open to expertise across areas relevant to our Department, and are particularly interested in applicants who can contribute to our teaching across a range of online psychology programmes including the Masters of Applied Psychology online programme. We embrace practice-led, research-informed approaches to teaching for transformative student experiences that uplift communities. Your contributions to programme and course development will support our continuous‑improvement focus. You will teach across programmes as assigned by the Head of Department and be comfortable using digital resources to enhance learning. Contributing to designing study programmes, advancing pedagogical approaches, designing innovative teaching methods, marking assignments and developing teaching materials, among other things, also form key parts of the role. You will also be expected to conduct pedagogical research and must maintain industry relevance by engaging with external organisations. Qualification: - PhD in psychology, or a PhD will be conferred before commencing the role. 2. Teaching, Knowledge and Experience: - Expertise in cognitive neuroscience. - A strong and/or developing research and publication record - Experience in teaching and research supervision. - Inspire and support students’ achievement - Communicate effectively, and demonstrate a commitment to collaboration and working in a team - Have competent organisational and IT skills 3. Scholarship and Professional Practice: - An expressed specific desire to be a teaching‑focused academic who will undertake activity as specified to maintain professional currency. 4.
