The School of Allied Health at AUT is a national leader in health education and clinical innovation, with programmes in occupational therapy, physiotherapy, podiatry and rehabilitation. We have a fixed‑term, part‑time (15‑22.5 hours per week) opportunity for a Clinical Trial Research Officer to make a significant impact and develop their career in research. We are open to expertise across areas relevant to the School of Allied Health, Department of Physiotherapy. We are especially interested in applicants who can contribute to a collaborative research team from Auckland University of Technology, The Auckland Regional Pain Service and Peke Waihanga. This team is conducting a clinical trial of 48 participants experiencing ongoing pain following major lower‑limb amputation. The study aims to determine whether Botox injections can effectively reduce residual limb pain compared to a control condition. This investigator‑initiated research is funded by the Auckland Medical Research Foundation. We’re looking for academics with curiosity, energy and openness to new ideas, who are committed to collegiality, cultural humility and respect for Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Indigenous peoples and diverse communities. Experience contributing to Indigenous, equity or inclusion‑focused initiatives is highly valued. A current driver’s licence and access to transport is also required, as the role may involve short term ( Criteria: Qualification: A postgraduate degree in a health‑related field or equivalent health experience would be desirable.
