Job Description

Permanent role, part‑time (0.5 FTE & 0.6 FTE) Rehabilitation Assistant. Remuneration: As per the PSA Allied Health MECA guidelines. Essential qualifications and experience Experience working with people with a disability. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience in a healthcare setting. Full, clean driver’s licence. Desired qualifications and experience Health Care Assistant (NZQA Level 3) certificate. Previous experience in a therapy assistant role. Experience of working in a rehabilitation setting. Proficiency in standard Microsoft applications. Responsibilities Provide therapy to patients in group and individual settings on the Health of Older People ward (0.5 FTE) and Specialised Adult Rehabilitation ward (0.6 FTE). Work collaboratively with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Dietitians, and Speech‑Language Therapists to help patients meet their rehabilitation goals. Support patients with orthopaedic surgeries, illness, accidents, stroke, amputation and other neurological conditions.
