The Terrace Café is located at the main entrance of New Zealand’s leading performing arts venue, the Aotea Centre, overlooking Aotea Square. He angitūtanga: The opportunity The Café Assistant role includes order‑taking for food, coffee and drinks using our Point of Sale (POS) system and providing food service. Excellent customer service and manaakitanga (hospitality) is our focus with every patron who visits. We offer flexible, casual work rostered over a 7‑day roster period. You will ideally be available to work a range of shifts per week, including weekdays, weeknights and weekends. He kōrero mōu: About you A positive and friendly personality. A willingness to provide excellent customer service. Excellent communication and social skills and ability to think on your feet. Keenness to work in a team environment. High standard of grooming and presentation. Ideally be available to work a range of shifts per week, including weekdays, weeknights and weekends. We do provide full training, so no previous experience is required, just an awesome attitude! Previous experience working within the hospitality industry, especially in a café or restaurant, can be beneficial. Payrate is $28.95 per hour. Applications close 5 pm Friday 31 July 2026.
