Job Description
Mō te tūranga | About the role We’re looking for a Road Maintenance Operator to join our IDC team in Waikato. This is a hands‑on role at the heart of our maintenance and operations programme, helping keep the State Highway network safe, reliable and running well. You’ll carry out cyclic and reactive maintenance across corridor assets including barriers, signs, pavements and drainage. From pothole repairs to sweeping operations, you’ll be part of a team doing good work that matters every day. Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities Carry out routine and reactive maintenance across the network Repair, clean and replace corridor assets including signs, barriers and drainage components Complete pothole repairs, minor surface works, sweeping, vegetation work and general asset upkeep Operate maintenance vehicles, plant and tools safely while supporting labouring tasks as needed Maintain accurate work records and complete equipment checks, pre‑starts and tailgates Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with A full, clean driver licence, with Class 2 an advantage Experience in civil, infrastructure or general maintenance work, or a solid understanding of maintenance practices A practical, hands‑on approach and the ability to carry out the inherent requirements of the role A strong focus on safety, with the ability to use tools, plant and equipment safely and effectively A team‑focused attitude, good attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow He pai te mahi, he pai ngā painga | Good work, good benefits Medical insurance and life insurance after the eligibility period KiwiSaver employer contributions after service milestones, up to 7% Parental leave top‑up payment with additional return‑to‑work support Ongoing training and development with clear career growth and progression opportunities Great discounts at a wide range of retailers Ko wai mātou | About us At Fulton Hogan, good work is about more than what we deliver.
