Job Description
Community Engagement Lead 6‑month fixed term, full‑time role. Location: Greenlane Clinical Centre, Auckland. This role is within HealthNewZealand (TeWhatuOra), supporting the Bowel Screening Programme aimed at early detection of bowel cancer and achieving equity among Māori and Pacific populations. Key Responsibilities Lead and motivate a small team of Community and Outreach Coordinators. Develop and implement community engagement strategies to increase participation in the Bowel Screening Programme. Manage day‑to‑day operations, monitor progress, and report on outcomes. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and community partners to promote equity in health services. Identify opportunities for improvement and drive continuous effectiveness of engagement activities. Qualifications & Experience Proven experience leading community or public health engagement teams. Strong communication, organisational and self‑starter skills. Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusive practices, particularly with Māori and Pacific communities. Knowledge of health systems and screening programmes is an asset.
