Clinical Nurse Lead

Job Description Reporting to the Care Centre Manager, this role will help provide leadership, support, and clinical guidance to the Care Centre team at our Whanganui village. Responsibilities Assist in providing clinical guidance, day‑to‑day direction, and leadership to the Care Centre team. Work closely with the Care Centre Manager to support safe operation of the care team. Actively participate in Summerset’s quality management programme. Consult with residents and their advocates to establish shared expectations of care and service delivery. Act as a clinical liaison for health care team members, focusing on the primary care team, pharmacists, podiatrists, physiotherapist, dietitian, and specialist services required for individual residents. This is a permanent role working a roster of Monday to Friday (32 hours per week, times negotiable). Qualifications Registered Nurse with a current NZNC practising certificate and a PDRP achieved to level 2‑4. Deep experience in a clinical environment and a solid understanding of the aged care sector and Te Whatu Ora standards. High level of clinical expertise ideally in the aged care sector. Computer literacy, including clinical care systems. Team player with a strong commitment to be a positive influence, coach, and mentor. Skilled communicator with a proven ability to build positive relationships.
