Job Description

We are seeking motivated and safety-focused Process Operators to join our Process Operations Team at Mataura Valley Milk in Gore. This is a key role within our manufacturing environment, supporting the production of high-quality dairy products. About The Role As a process operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality operation of our milk powder production plant. You will monitor and control production processes, ensuring compliance with company standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements. You will have the opportunity to work across different areas of the plant, including milk reception, wet mix, drying, and evaporation processes. Key responsibilities Operate and monitor plant equipment to ensure efficient production Maintain product quality, yield, and process efficiency Follow all Health & Safety and food safety requirements Identify and report hazards, incidents, and improvement opportunities Support continuous improvement initiatives Maintain accurate documentation and production records Work collaboratively with the wider operations team What we’re looking for Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment (dairy preferred) Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Good mechanical aptitude and ability to learn technical processes Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment Strong communication and computer literacy skills Experience in dairy processing or milk powder production (preferred) Forklift licence or relevant industry qualifications (preferred) Why join us?
