As part of the Regional Parks amenity team, you’ll be working alongside a passionate and knowledgeable team with plenty of learning opportunities available while helping ensure the conservation of our natural assets for future generations. About the role | Ko te mahi nei As a Field Ranger, you will play a vital role in ensuring that visitors to our beautiful parks and natural areas have a safe and enjoyable experience. This position is perfect for individuals who are: Physically fit and hardworking. Passionate about Christchurch’s regional parks. Enjoy maintaining park facilities in and around Ōtautahi-Christchurch. Able to thrive in a collaborative environment. As part of the Regional Parks amenity team, your focus will be on: Maintaining our green spaces (primarily mowing, but also line trimming, garden maintenance, pruning etc.). Supporting other Regional Parks projects depending on grass/weed growth throughout the six-month period. To view the position description, click the link at the foot of the page. You will: Have previous experience with either commercial mowers and/or landscaping power tools (beneficial). Be confident in your ability to work alone or in a team. Communicate well and take action where required. Be personable and approachable, with the ability to engage with park visitors, key stakeholders, and the wider community.
