Overview Registered Nurse – General Paediatrics Service, Starship Child Health – a permanent, full-time or part‑time position in the General Paediatric Services team at Starship Children's Hospital. About the Service The Starship General Paediatrics Service provides tertiary care in the Central Auckland area and following Starship Intensive Care admission. The work is fast‑paced, covering a range of childhood illnesses from neonate to adolescent and includes an inpatient programme for young people with eating disorders in collaboration with the Child Liaison Psychiatry team and Eating Disorders Service. Responsibilities Provide expert assessment, education, care navigation and case management of children, young people and whānau throughout the Service. Act as a key member of the team, liaising with the wider multidisciplinary team and community services and agencies to coordinate care from acute care to community living. Qualifications Registered with the New Zealand Nursing Council and hold a current APC. Extensive paediatric nursing experience. Strong commitment to quality care. Capability to work within a multidisciplinary team. Well‑developed communication and critical‑thinking skills. Commitment to family‑centred care. Positive attitude and an innovative, adaptable approach to practice.
