Job Description

Help shape the future of education in New Zealand Role Overview Mynga is seeking a Service Manager to lead change and raise achievement for NewZealand's young learners. The successful candidate will steer a committed professional team delivering Learning Support services to tamariki and rangatahi, and work closely with whānau, communities, early childhood providers/Kōhanga Reo, schools/kura, Kura Kaupapa Māori and other Māori Medium settings to strengthen inclusive practices, raise student achievement and deliver on community aspirations. Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of professionals to deliver a range of Learning Support services. Develop and implement workplans that align with organisational strategies and work programmes. Create and maintain a collaborative, continuous‑improvement focused culture. Collaborate with whānau, communities and educational settings to strengthen inclusive practices and raise student achievement. Ensure services meet national coordination and consistency standards while supporting regional autonomy. Advise, support and oversee early learning providers, schools and kura to maintain high standards of operation. Monitor and advise on the effectiveness, efficiency and equity of services, including attendance and participation. Qualifications Proven team leadership experience. Experience in developing and delivering workplans that align to organisational strategies. Experience leading complex teams delivering services. Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative and continuous improvement culture. Relevant tertiary qualification in a related field (post‑graduate preferred) or equivalent level of practical experience. Full driver’s licence (travel across the region is required). Willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct. Salary $120,193 – $140,482 per annum plus KiwiSaver. Salary will reflect individual skills and experience.
