About the Role
As a Forestry Account Manager / Assessor, you will partner with forestry employers across Northland to support trainees and workplace assessors. You will become a trusted advisor to your customers, helping businesses build capability while ensuring learners receive outstanding support throughout their training journey.
How you will spend your time:
- Building strong relationships with forestry employers.
- Supporting apprentices and trainees throughout their learning journey.
- Coaching and developing workplace assessors.
- Conducting workplace assessments where appropriately qualified.
- Working with employers to identify workforce development opportunities.
- Helping businesses develop skilled, future-ready teams.
- Travelling throughout your region, visiting customers and maintaining regular contact with learners and employers.
About You
You understand the forestry industry because you have lived it.
Perhaps you've worked in harvesting, silviculture, forest management or operations. You enjoy working with people, communicating with a wide range of stakeholders and helping others succeed.
You will bring:
- Forestry industry experience.
- Excellent relationship management skills.
- A customer-focused approach.
- Strong organisation and planning skills.
- The confidence to work independently while managing your own territory.
- You will ideally have your Assessor (4098) qualification.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- A full New Zealand driver's licence and the ability to travel throughout the region.
Previous experience in training, coaching, adult education or workplace assessment would be an advantage, but if you have the right industry experience and people skills, Competenz will support your development.
