\n Programme Management Office Lead | Wellington | Fixed Term or Secondment\n

Lead a high-performing Programme Management Office and drive enterprise-level programme governance, planning, and reporting to support a major transformation programme in the Disability Support Services Group. This is a fixed-term role through 30 June 2027, based in Wellington.

Key responsibilities include\n
    \n
  • Manage the Programme Management Office and oversee programme planning, reporting, governance and assurance activities.
  • \n
  • Maintain an integrated programme plan, ensuring alignment across workstreams and delivery priorities.
  • \n
  • Develop and improve programme reporting frameworks, providing insights to governance groups, senior leaders and external stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Oversee programme-wide risk, issue, assurance and change control processes to support successful delivery outcomes.
  • \n
  • Manage resource forecasting and support the Programme Director with workforce planning, recruitment and onboarding activities across the programme.
  • \n
  • Build programme management capability and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • \n
Must-have qualifications\n
    \n
  • Significant leadership experience of a Programme Management Office or large-scale transformation programme environment.
  • \n
  • Proven success delivering programme management, governance, reporting and assurance functions within complex organisations.
  • \n
  • Strong expertise in risk management, issue management, quality assurance and programme controls.
  • \n
  • Advanced strategic planning, project management and performance monitoring expertise.
  • \n
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Exceptional relationship‑management skills and political acumen within complex environments.
  • \n
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making capability.
  • \n
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, proactively remove barriers and drive successful delivery outcomes.
  • \n
  • Relevant programme or project management certification (MSP, PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
