About the Role:

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will play a key role in the preparation of the Group's financial results while seeking continual improvement to financial processes and driving the budgeting, forecasting and taxation functions. Your key responsibilities will include managing a small Financial Accounting team, maintaining timely, accurate and meaningful records of Ravensdown's financial transactions and ensuring that financial policies, procedures and plans are effectively implemented.

About You

You have strong experience working with financial and operational reporting, with the ability to quickly identify trends, risks, and areas requiring further investigation. Naturally curious and proactive, you enjoy digging into the detail to uncover insights that support better business outcomes.

You are confident communicating with stakeholders across both the Finance team and the wider business, building strong relationships and translating data into meaningful information. A collaborative team player, you enjoy contributing to a high-performing finance function that delivers accurate, timely reporting and insights, enabling informed decision-making across the organisation.

Your background in technical accounting and strong commercial acumen will allow you to interact with the auditors, bankers and tax specialists to keep Ravensdown financially compliant and strong.

Your finance skills will see you proactively work with a range of staff throughout the organisation with the drive to always look for improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the consolidation and preparation of the monthly and annual financial statements.
\n
• Act as the lead facilitator for annual audit procedures.
\n
• Business partnering through high quality working relationships with the key internal stakeholders.
\n
• Act as a tax lead for the Finance Team with responsibility for both direct and indirect tax calculations.
\n
• Lead the preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for the Group.
\n
• Support CFO and Group Financial Controller by implementing the strategic treasury plan.
\n
• Ensure accurate and up – to – date financial models are available for use when required.
\n

Ideal Skills & Experience:

\n
• A Bachelors' Degree in Accounting.
\n
• CA, CPA or CIMA qualified.
\n
• 9-10 years' relevant experience in financial accounting.
\n
• Strong knowledge of both direct and indirect tax.
\n
• Experience in consolidations and inter entity accounting.
\n
• Experience presenting financial information across the business.
\n
• Experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems.
\n
• Ability to drive achievement and improvement in a team-based environment.
\n
• High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to meet deadlines.
\n
• Project Management experience and understanding of structures, timeliness and responsibilities.
\n
