Test Manager | Te Au Reka Programme – Fixed Term (3 years) – Full Time – Wellington CBD

\n

Te Au Reka – Improving access to justice for all New Zealanders. We are seeking to modernise the administration of justice by replacing highly manual, time‑consuming, paper‑based processes with a new digital case management solution, transforming how people access and experience justice in Aotearoa New Zealand.

What you'll be doing\n
    \n
  • Own and evolve the Te Au Reka Test Strategy, quality objectives, standards, and risk thresholds.
  • \n
  • Provide programme‑wide leadership and oversight of test planning, execution, reporting, and assurance activities.
  • \n
  • Ensure testing outcomes are aligned with delivery priorities, operational needs, and business risk.
  • \n
  • Lead programme‑level quality reporting, providing evidence‑based advice to senior leaders and governance groups.
  • \n
  • Oversee testing resources, delivery partners, and vendors to ensure consistent quality outcomes.
  • \n
  • Drive continuous improvement in testing practices, automation, and quality assurance frameworks.
  • \n
  • Develop, coach, and support a high‑performing testing team.
  • \n
  • Build strong relationships with judiciary representatives, business stakeholders, digital teams, and delivery partners.
  • \n
Skills and Experience\n
    \n
  • Significant Test Management experience in large, complex environments.
  • \n
  • Proven experience developing and governing enterprise or programme‑level test strategies.
  • \n
  • Strong leadership experience managing and developing testing professionals.
  • \n
  • Demonstrated success providing testing and quality assurance advice to senior executives and governance forums.
  • \n
  • Experience leading testing within Agile, Continuous Delivery, or DevOps environments.
  • \n
  • Strong analytical and evidence‑based decision‑making skills.
  • \n
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
  • \n
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • \n
  • Relevant testing qualifications, certifications, or equivalent professional experience.
  • \n

Salary\n

The salary range for this role is between $128,427 and $176,789, based on skills and experience.
